​This is an un-rushed workshop in a relaxed studio environment.

For thousands of years pyrography has been an artform used to make ordinary, everyday objects beautiful. My aim is to ensure that you enjoy everything this fascinating, relaxing artform has to offer using wood-burning tools.

Pyrography Workshops at The Makers’ House Fareham

Suitable for complete beginners – no art skills required.

Join me for a relaxed 2.5-hour session in a bright, welcoming studio.

Start by learning the basics of pyrography, sharing ideas, and exploring your design. I’ll guide you if you’re unsure.

Learn how to use the wood-burning tool, control temperature for different effects, and transfer designs.

Practice holding the pen, applying the right strokes and pressure, and test techniques on demo pieces before starting your project.

Tracing and graphite paper are available if you’re not comfortable drawing free-hand.

Leave with a unique handmade keepsake — and a new skill!

(Occasional weekend slots are available at £5 surcharge per person)

  • Your desire to learn and have fun!
  • Any projects or ideas which may inspire you
  • A drink/snack if you wish
  • You may wish to wear old clothing

​When you confirm a date for your workshop please be aware that bookings are non-refundable. The good news is that you can transfer your place to someone else, so you are welcome to offer it to a friend, just let me know.

If you do need to cancel your workshop please let me know as soon as possible and I will do all I can to accommodate. If it is more than 7 days notice AND I can fill your place, I may be able to offer you a refund at my discretion (deducting £5 for admin costs)

​The minimum age is 14 years old and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult for the duration of the workshop and must not be left unattended during the session.
