From the "Suspended In Time" Exhibition at The Brickworks Museum Inspired by my diving adventures into the deep, this piece of work is a shipwreck hull. Over time, decay gives way to life, as marine creatures claim the wreckage as their own. This piece captures the slow transformation of a leaning, sunken ship’s hull, now teeming with corals, barnacles, and seaweed. The disintegrating wood is textured and worn. Vibrant coral plates and clusters of barnacles spread across the surface, their organic shapes contrasting with the ship’s rigid structure. A wash of iron oxide gives the hull a distressed finish, emphasising its history. Barnacles are sculpted from unglazed porcelain. Steampunk-inspired portholes with embedded cogs, reminiscent of watch gears, give a timeless intrigue. Approx. 30cm long

This unusual lantern takes its form from the wierd mushroom corals. The outside has a rough texture, whilst inside is a soft white glaze which reflects the light through the slim crevices Tealight is included Dimensions: 10.5h x 11dia cm

The inspiration came from the breakwater groynes preventing erosion of our beautiful beach. I imagine her as the Protector of the Shore. The groyne was slab build and she was sculpted onto the body of the post. The crystalised glass in the shell creates a sparkling focal point Height 35cm This is quite a heavy piece, substantially built from stoneware with glossy glazes

This amazing piece was inspired by the beautiful rockpools at Watergate Bay in Cornwall. The three wells are great for keeping small items but the piece wrks just as well standing alone. Handbuilt from stoneware with dreamy turquoise glaze, the pools have seaweed and barnacles living on the rocks Approx 20H cm This piece is foodsafe

Solent Seascape Hand sculpted from stoneware clay, with porcelain detail on the crest of the tide. Glazed and then decorated with reclaimed glass from bottles, before being fired. The wooden sea breakers are textured raw clay.
